For their fourth year in a row, a group of 20 Singapore American School (SAS) will make their way back to Asia’s diamond in the rough.
This year’s service learning adventure will take them up Timor-Leste’s highest mountain, through rugged winding mountain passes and down to the country’s pristine dolphin filled waters at Atauro Island. Over 8 days, they will be immersed in Timor-Leste’s turbulent history, ancient culture and unconventional politics of the youngest nation in Asia. Students will get down and dirty working on a Home Kitchen Garden Project – an initiative by HIAM Health.
A briefing session will be held and led by Mr Savio Domingos, Timor Leste’s Chargé d’Affaires to Singapore. Parents will have the opportunity to find out more about the trip and have the opportunity to clarify any questions or concerns they may have regarding the trip.
